The WYSIWYG HTML editor lets you create basic content for rooms. With the editor you can include text, images, and links to sites outside Portfolio or to rooms within Portfolio. If you want to include content that provides more interaction for the patron, such as a slideshow, you will need to use the HTML Mode editor and be able to program the interaction in the HTML code for the content.
The HTML mode of the HTML editor lets you edit the code underlying the content in the room. It is not restricted as to the types of components you can place in the content area. However, you should test any interaction you program into the content area to ensure that works the way you want and does not interfere with any other functionality in the room or within Portfolio.
If you have upgraded to Portfolio from Enterprise Portal Solutions (EPS), the content you created with content was migrated and converted to work as it did previously. You can use the HTML mode in the editor to copy the code and content to use in other content areas. If you understand the basics of Javascript, you can edit the content to modify the interactive component as you re-use it for other rooms.
SirsiDynix provides support for the content it publishes. Customer Care cannot provide support for customer-created or modified content.
Changes you make to the room tree structure or to room content will not be available to patrons until you run the SD_CONTENT_EXTRACTOR task. (For more information, see Managing scheduled tasks.)
